  • Welcome to Kalamazoo Public Schools! Our mission is to nurture the dreams of all students and to empower all students to contribute to a better world.

    Students attending KPS are eligible for the Kalamazoo Promise. The Kalamazoo Promise is free college tuition to any state college or university based on the number of years in a row the student has attended KPS, up to and including graduation from a KPS high school, and has lived in the district. The Kalamazoo Promise includes a number of private colleges in Michigan. Please the Kalamazoo Promise website. This generous and extraordinary gift is only for students in KPS.

    Michigan law generally requires students to enroll in the school district in which their parent or legal guardian resides. New students under the age of 18 must be enrolled by a parent or legal guardian.

    Families can check school assignments based on their home address through the School Site Locator. Newly enrolled students will be placed in their neighborhood school as a priority. For more information, email Student Services or call (269) 337-0161.
