A KPS global email was sent on Oct. 29 to inform employees about the bill passed by the Michigan Legislature to allow one-time hazard payments for eligible teachers and school support staff to acknowledge their extra effort during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Form 5734, the Teacher and Support Staff COVID-19 Grants Certification is linked here or can be found in the download below. The form must be returned to HazardPayGrants@kalamazoopublicschools.net by Dec. 4.
The Michigan Department of Treasury will send checks directly to eligible staff around Feb. 25.
